On March 2, 2012 Cracow University of Economics officially launched a new doctoral programme: PhD in Economics, Finance and Management. The programme has been prepared by the Interfaculty Board and the International Programmes Office, and is the first doctoral programme conducted entirely in English in the history of the University.

The Welcome Meeting for PhD students was held on Friday, 2^nd March 2012. Students were welcomed by the Vice-Rector for Scientific Research, Professor Andrzej Malawski and the Chair of the Doctoral Programme Professor Aleksy Pocztowski.

During the meeting, PhD students were matriculated, took an oath and officially joined the doctoral students community of the University. After the formal part of the meeting, students had an opportunity to talk to CUE’s most renowned professors about their areas of interest and ideas for the research for their PhD theses.

The first classes of the programme took place on 3-4 March 2012 on CUE’s Campus.
